Important events of 1990's

April 24^th: A telescope “Hubble” is put in orbit by the United States Space Shuttle Discovery.
August 02^nd: Iraq invades Kuwait leading to the Gulf War.

1991

January 17^th: The operation Desert Storm began with air attacks against Iraq. Iraq answer with eight missiles Scud against Israel.
February 27^th: The Gulf war had finished (6 months, 3 weeks and 5 days) and Iraqi troops left from Kuwait.
March: The World Wide Web is published and used as internet service.
December 25^th: Cold War end and the USSR dissolve.

1992

August 28^th: Hurricane Andrew, killed 65 people and causes $26 billion in damage to Florida and other areas of the U.S.
November 03^rd: Bill Clinton defeats George Herbert Walker Bush in a presidential election.

1993

February 26^th: The World Trade Center is bombed by terrorist. 6 persons died and more of one thousand were injured.

1995

January 1^st: WTO is established.
April 19^th: Timothy Mcveigh and Terry Nichols placed a truck-bomb outside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. 168 persons died and wounded 800. The bombing was the worst internal terrorism fact in the history of the United States.

1996

July 05^th: In the institute Roslin, Dolly (the sheep) becomes the first mammalian who was cloned.
November 05^th: Bob Dole loses against the president William J. Clinton.

1997

February 09^th: The Simpsons become a TV series with more duration in the history of the United States, beating the Flintstones.
March 04^th: The cloning is prohibited by Bill Clinton.

1998

January 26^th: President Clinton is accused of having a sexual relationship with Monica Lewinsky.
February 23^th: Osama Bin Laden announces a holy war against all Jews and Crusaders.

1999

January 1^st: The Euro is known as a strong tool to stem the power of the dollar and maximize the economic power of the European Union nations.
February 12^th: dismissal of Clinton later by the House of Representatives.
May 03^th: Storm shook Oklahoma City, killing 38 persons. This storm had the fastest wind speed ever recorded on earth with 318 mph.
November 05^th: U.S. versus Microsoft. Preliminary ruling stated that Microsoft had monopoly power.
