1990
- April 24th: A telescope “Hubble” is put in orbit by the United States Space Shuttle Discovery.
- August 02nd: Iraq invades Kuwait
leading to the Gulf War.
1991
- January 17th: The operation Desert Storm began with air attacks against Iraq. Iraq answer with eight missiles Scud against Israel.
- February 27th: The Gulf war had finished (6 months, 3 weeks and 5 days) and Iraqi troops left from Kuwait.
- March: The World Wide Web is published
and used as internet service.
- December 25th: Cold War end and
the USSR dissolve.
1992
- August 28th: Hurricane Andrew,
killed 65 people and causes $26 billion in damage to Florida and other
areas of the U.S.
- November 03rd: Bill Clinton defeats
George Herbert Walker Bush in a presidential election.
1993
- February 26th: The World Trade Center is
bombed by terrorist. 6 persons died and more of one thousand were injured.
1995
- January 1st: WTO is established.
- April 19th: Timothy Mcveigh and Terry
Nichols placed a truck-bomb outside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building
in Oklahoma City. 168 persons died and wounded 800. The bombing was
the worst internal terrorism fact in the history of the United States.
1996
- July 05th: In the institute Roslin,
Dolly (the sheep) becomes the first mammalian who was cloned.
- November 05th: Bob Dole loses against
the president William J. Clinton.
1997
- February 09th: The Simpsons become a TV
series with more duration in the history of the United States, beating the
Flintstones.
- March 04th: The cloning is prohibited
by Bill Clinton.
1998
- January 26th: President Clinton is accused of
having a sexual relationship with Monica Lewinsky.
- February 23th: Osama Bin Laden announces
a holy war against all Jews and Crusaders.
1999
- January 1st: The Euro is known as a
strong tool to stem the power of the dollar and maximize the economic
power of the European Union nations.
- February 12th: dismissal of Clinton later
by the House of Representatives.
- May 03th: Storm shook Oklahoma
City, killing 38 persons. This storm had the fastest wind speed ever
recorded on earth with 318 mph.
- November 05th: U.S. versus Microsoft. Preliminary ruling
stated that Microsoft had monopoly power.
